APP EV Systems Deliver A Range Of 200 To 250 Miles
There are many factors that affect overall range in an EV. Generally, you can expect a range of 200 to 250 miles on a full charge from the premium OE batteries in APP EV’s Modular Battery Packs, which combine to provide 78 kWh of energy at 400V.
What affects EV Range?
Battery capacity, temperature, vehicle weight, coefficient of drag (cd), total frontal area, and driving style (perhaps the largest factor), will all affect the overall range of an EV. APP EV Conversion System Charging
APP EV’s Plug & Play Conversion Systems are equipped with a combined Level I/Level II charger through a J1772 charging port. Charge times will vary based on the type of charging used.
The quick answer to the range of an APP EV Conversion system is that you can fully recharge our 78 kWh battery system using a Level II charger in 8 hours, assuming a range-per-hour of charging estimate of 25 miles and an average drive range of 200 miles. If you drive an average of 40 miles, a Level I charger will recharge the batteries in 8 hours. A Level I charger plugs into a standard 110V outlet, so it will be the slowest form of charging regardless of vehicle.
How is an EV’s Range Determined?
In general, range is determined using the factors of battery capacity and energy consumption. Energy consumption is determined by how many kWh of energy is consumed per 100 miles. In the example above, we used an energy consumption of 25 kWh per 100 miles.
The formula used to calculate an EV’s range is:
Range = Battery Capacity/Energy Consumption
