The Battery Management System is sourced from Orion, a leading industry supplier. There are two units to monitor the state-of-charge and temps for all 96 cells, ensuring optimal cell balancing when charging/discharging, and that they operate in an ideal temperature window.

Speedhut-designed gauges connect via a single plug and replicate factory gauge cluster for period-correct look with EV relevant displays. Operator touchpoints are carefully preserved, to ensure that the driving experience stays the same.

APP EV Conversion Systems include Level 1 and Level II charging capability. A full charge can be obtained overnight in your garage.

Our proprietary Modular Battery Pack is OEM tested to 150,000 miles. It is comprised of four packs for 78kWh in 3S4P (3 series/4 parallel) layout, with an integrated Battery Management System (BMS). We manufacture our enclosures in house using high-temp, BMI-fire-retardant glass fiber with BMI resin,  impact-resistant Kevlar outer casings for impact resistance and carbon fiber for torsional strength. Our universal packs are also sold separately.

Our EV conversion kit uses a Cascadia Motion motor/inverter. Cascadia Motion is an OE supplier and industry leader in electric drive motors. This 400V motor/inverter combo produces 225 kW (320 HP) / 500nM (369 lbs-ft TQ) max output.

Computer-designed, high-strength Carbon Fiber subframe components are made in-house, tested for safety, and are used in the front and rear for the motor/inverter and battery packs. All system mounting points attach directly to the chassis with no cutting, drilling or fabrication, and utilize hardware that is designed to survive deceleration rates of 20G.

AEM EV’s VCU300 is the central processor that commands the vehicle’s propulsion and controls or oversees all electronics operations. This system is fully calibrated by APP EV to deliver three power modes, and control all of the vehicle’s systems – from regen to window switches – once it’s connected and powered up.

A high voltage contactor box houses all of the HV switches, relays and contactors, and is essential to properly managing the HV system’s power demands. APP EV integrates its High Voltage Junction Box in a separate composite enclosure adjacent to the Battery Pack.

We include two cooling loops in our EV conversion system, one for the motor/inverter and one for the battery packs. All system parameters are pre-programmed and controlled by the VCU to ensure maximum performance and battery longevity.
